COW Rips Rihanna

BREAKING NEWS
In a passionate call into the popular local radio talkshow - Down to Brass Tacks - earlier today, local construction magnate, Sir Charles Williams, baring his soul of the many insults and hurts heaped upon him and his family and businesses disclosed that the most hurtful of all was that Rihanna never once visited the plot of land at the Apes Hill Club that was given to her a few years ago in recognition of her winning a Grammy.  Sir Charles revealed that the land with a market valuation of $1.2 Million was sold to the Government of Barbados for just $100,000.00 for onward presentation to Rihanna.  He said that when Rihanna was contacted about visiting the property her reply was: "How many cameras are going to be there?"

  3. Maybe a better topic would be a look at the number of poor people who are disadvantaged by construction magnates in Barbados.

  5. What is Sir Williams complaining about, does he expect the young lady to feel obligated to him, it is her gift, her land she can do whatever the hell she feel with it. Whether it was sold for $100,000 or $1 million the fact is that it was sold and it is no longer Sir Cow's land. What he felt would have happened was he would be able to market the rest of the lots for sale as "Rihanna owns one of these properties".She is right, if any poor bajan had dared asked him to sell the lot for that price he would have scoffed. She grew up in Barbados she knows the difference between the white haves and the black have nots. She is just being herself a young black island girl with pride

    1. u are correct, she grew up in barbados and knows how COW thinks, he was expecting all publicity so that in turn he could get big ups buying the rest of the property. i am glad she did it. if he is so pathriotic why can he not let those folks in St. Lucy have access to his equipment so that they like him could watch Multi-choice. It is too expensive of CBC to purchase but he purchase it so he could have access and SELFLESS guy that he is, he blocked ALL the other residences from it. but they are nobodies.

  7. this is a joke right!! it is land what would her visiting it do for COW oh yeah more PR she probably did visit it easy drive by(no cameras). how many land owners who live in Barbados a lot less busy than Rihanna have land they haven't "visited" in eons evident by the over growth and rodent infestation. And the choice of photo out of the millions that could be had from the internet just goes to show....Breaking news? smells more like someone is breaking wind...

  8. I think the photo is very appropriate. It contrasts sharply with Rihanna's being camera-shy when it comes to showing a little appreciation to a businessman who very kind towards her. Apparently, she has no qualms posing for free in support of the drug paddlers. Don't worry though, "night does run till day ketch it."

    1. I think you fell off the wall Humpty... how does a paparazzi photo of her become "posing for free in support of the drug paddlers"? I think some of us need to come off of our judgmental double standard high horses. Everyone has a side that the world may not agree with but not all of us have cameras pointing at us 24-7 to publish it. But you know what you are right, the choice of photo is appropriate depending on the agenda of the blog...

    2. For the Anonymous poster who questioned “how does a paparazzi photo of her become posing for free in support of the drug peddlers,” the answer is it does - when she later gets on Twitter spouting crap glorifying pot. And, if you think that with the kind of security that surrounds her 24/7 and given her scripted lifestyle that that is a paparazzi photo then you are smoking something too. Just yesterday I read in the papers that three young Bajan policemen had to put $50,000 bail each, had they passports taken away, and must face trial for the deaths of drug smugglers in the line of performing their duty. We are in a serious crisis vis-à-vis illegal drugs. Then comes Rihanna, supposedly a Barbados Ambassador, puffing and tweeting about illegal drugs in this country. Its about time somebody ought to get up in righteous indignation and call sin by its right name and stop pandering to her just because she is famous. I salute COW for belling the ingrate cat.

    3. honestly with all the national divide that came about when that land was gifted to her its probably a good thing for her to stay away from it publicly. and are you saying that the police who killed the drug smugglers shouldn't face trial if the circumstances warranted it? i really hope not. not to digress but do you believe your God would place anything on this earth and then turn around and make it a sin to use it. if she was drinking a beer i guess that would be less of a "sin". but if you be the judge go on judge...

    4. I am not getting into any theological argument over pot because I know there are some so-called religions out there that think it is a sacrament or something. But to answer your question, yes, there are things God made that He said were not for human consumption. Go read Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14. But Rihanna’s pot smoking is about breaking the laws of Barbados, which laws she is doubly responsible for as an appointed ambassador of this country. There is more than enough empirical evidence out there to prove that pot makes you dumber, it‘s no longer anecdotal or hearsay folks. See - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-19372456. You can’t build a First World economy on a nation of dummies - that’s why peddling pot is a capital offense in places like Singapore and Taiwan.

    5. And God said, Behold, I have given you EVERY herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.....same God...yet we make it illegal .. and there is more than enough evidence showing its benefits hence the global cry for legalization along with the decriminalization of it in some territories ... how could you look at a tree, a gift from your God with so many positive things to offer and call it a sin i think that is more ungrateful than what Rihanna is being accused of here...

  9. On and on again about this young lady, Ri Ri, I love you for who you are, clearly you like yaself. COW is a business man, he is no idiot you are a marketing tool, but only if you allow yourself to be used. To you Sir Charles, like Ri Ri I admire you for what you are but please remember that a gift is a gift, let it go. To all you haters, go take a good look in the mirror.

  11. I have no problem with her not using it because she doesn't NEED IT. How about the government giving something to people that actually NEED IT and can't afford to buy it.

  12. It is truly sad that COW is still at his games and old tricks. He sold the land to the Government, the Government in turn gifted it to Rihanna. Now why does he have anything to say about the property? This is his way of using her famous status to sell the rest of his plots. I grew up in the area, and I travels back home every year and it is so disgusting that these properties are so expensive and he is catering to the rich and famous, not the locals in the areas. I used to fly kites with my brother all up the hill where he has turned into a golf course and a gated community. He is a selfish man, who has no respect for his fellow bajans. It is all about him, what he can get, who he can steal from and who ideas and can steal and make his own, pls locals get smart, when you have an idea, shut your mouths and patent your inventions before he steals it.Pretty soon there won't be any affordable land left for the locals to buy. While I was there last year he came around a corner up Apes Hill so fast and wide he nearly hit the car I was driving which had a license plate with a H, he never stopped to see if I was ok, so sad.

  13. Awww poor booboo.... de lil popstar didnt do as he wanted..... well boohoohoo

  14. How about Sir Cow donating some land to small farmers? The land and Villas at Apes Hill are not selling so the market value has dropped. Tell me something Sir Cow, how much more money and land do you need to take to the grave with you? As one grows older acquisitions and mergers are no longer important. The quality of life and the importance of friends and family takes priority. So Sir COW pass the mantle onto your children and start enjoying life. Or is it that your children are not interested or capable in taking over your empire? I am still waiting to see faces of colour on your board of directors.

  15. Cow and Rihanna can sort this out - all of us can stop attacking both of them cause all of us do wrong - put ppl right and tell them go n sin no more - NOW - COW should expect anything from her and RiRi, if what is reported is true should be sansation here and Ambassador thing not working - she could bring the wrong people with the wrong msg. - i think COW should give some land to the Nature Fun Ranch, young people trying to do good - and some horses too!

  16. i have read all of the above comments and its true that COW would use RIRI as a marketing tool to his advantage....she has her reasons why she probably isn't doing anything with it...did anyone ever stop to wonder what has happen to the land that was given to Obadele Thompson or Ryan Brathwaite for their achievements.....and as this thing about being an ambassador she (they) didn't ask for it it was given to them as an honor....there's no binding contract saying they have to do anything...that's why some person chose not to accept such statuses because of the pressure, responsibilities and nagging that comes along with it... as for RiRi everyone looks at her like she the worse look at the royal family and the thing they do...she, just like anyone else in this world has her life to live....and just like a lot of other celebrities clearly states she IS NOT A ROLE MODEL for anyone
